Manual Ticket Abandoned, Police Rely On ETLE 95 Percent In 2026

JAKARTA - Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) of the National Police Inspector General Pol. Agus Suryonugroho targets 5,000 electronic traffic law enforcement (ETLE) systems to be installed throughout Indonesia by 2026.

Agus emphasized that traffic law enforcement with the ETLE system must be prioritized with a percentage of 95 percent, while the manual ticketing system is only five percent.

Use the technology we have. We have static ETLE, we have ETLE handles, mobile onboards, and we have portables. Including if I'm not mistaken, there are already drones. Please develop this technology according to the situation and conditions," he said.

He also said that law enforcement was the last step and asked his staff to prioritize education and socialization.

As for Tuesday (21/10), Kakorlantas Inspector General Pol. Agus Suryonugroho appreciated the performance of the Central Java Police Ditlantas in digital-based law enforcement through ETLE.

Later, he will continue to monitor and evaluate the performance of ETLE in electronic-based ticketing.

In addition, Agus also advised traffic to be friendly with the community, especially road users.

He also taught to always serve the community humanely in this modern era.

"I really entrust the 'Polantas Greet' program. I have many reports in Central Java, extraordinary. So, friendly with the community, greeting with drivers, greeting with other road users, that the traffic police must not have enemies," he said.
