Majority Of Major Cities Potential Light Rain On October 21

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said that the majority of major cities in Indonesia have the potential for light rain on Tuesday, October 21.

BMKG Weather Forecaster Satriana Roguna said that on the island of Sumatra, thick clouds are expected in the Banda Aceh and Padang areas, as well as in Medan and Pekanbaru, light rain is expected.

Satriana warned of the potential for rain that can be accompanied by lightning for the Tanjung Pinang area. He said that thick clouds were estimated in the Bengkulu and Jambi areas, while for the Palembang and Pangkal Pinang areas, light rain was expected.

"Be aware of the potential for rain that can be accompanied by lightning for the Bandar Lampung area," said Satriana, quoted by ANTARA.

On the island of Java, light rain is expected for the areas of Jakarta, Serang, and Semarang. As for the areas of Bandung, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya, moderate rain is expected.

As for the islands of Bali and Nusa Tenggara, it is estimated that they are thick cloudy for the Kupang area, while the Denpasar area is expected to experience moderate rain. He reminded to be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning in the Mataram area.

For the island of Kalimantan, light rain is expected for the Tanjung Selor, Samarinda, and Palangkaraya areas. As for the Banjarmasin area, it is estimated that moderate rain will occur.

"Be aware of the potential for rain that can be accompanied by lightning for the Pontianak area," he said.

Then, for the island of Sulawesi, it is estimated that light rain is expected for the areas of Palu, Gorontalo, Manado, and Kendari. As for the Mamuju and Makassar areas, moderate rain is expected.

For the eastern part of Indonesia, it is estimated that the air has fled for the Merauke region. As for the areas of Ternate, Ambon, Manokwari, Nabire, Jayawijaya, and Jayapura, light rain is expected, as well as the Sorong area, it is estimated that moderate rain.
