Prabowo: 50 Thousand Schools Get 75 Inchi IFP Screens, Will Be Added Next Year

President Prabowo Subianto said around 50 thousand schools in Indonesia had received 75-inch interactive panel (IFP) devices to support the digital learning process at various levels of education, from elementary to high school.

Later, the number of screens to be provided will continue to increase every year.

"This year we will provide an interactive panel, interactive panel such as a screen, digital interactive, 75 inches, in each elementary, junior high school, high school school. What we have held now is that if I'm not mistaken, it has been divided into close to 50,000 schools," Prabowo said in an introductory speech at the Plenary Cabinet Session, at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday, October 20, reported by ANTARA.

The President explained that the program to provide interactive learning equipment is part of the government's plan to strengthen the digitization of education in all regions of the country, including the outermost and remote areas that still have limited access to teachers and learning facilities.

Prabowo said a total of 288 thousand interactive screen units would be distributed this year.

The device is equipped with a computer and contains thousands to millions of educational content, including a silabus and teaching materials of various subjects.

Prabowo also said the government would gather the best teachers to teach in the central studio.

Through this system, schools in remote areas can gain access to learning from the best teachers who teach from the central studio in Jakarta.

"We will build a studio. In this studio, the best teachers will teach and his lessons can be accepted in all corners of Indonesia. So all schools will get access to the best teachers. In difficult areas, which are very difficult, especially in mountains, remote islands," said the President.

The government is also preparing low-cost connectivity technology so that schools in areas with limited internet can remain connected to digital learning systems.

Next year, Prabowo said the number of devices in each school will be increased to four units, with a target of adding two more devices by 2027.

"So all of our children have access to the best, latest knowledge, with the best animation and support. I got a report from the Mendikdasmen, the enthusiasm of the children is now increasing for schools, yes, apart from MBG, he also learned interesting lessons," said the Head of State.

"I think this is important because our focus should not be that we should focus on investment, the most important thing for our people, investment in our children, our human resources," he added.
