JAKARTA - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka emphasized the development of Indonesia-centric when opening the Tara No Ate Legu Cultural Festival at the Nusantara Fisheries Port Field, Ternate, North Maluku.
Our commitment has not changed either. We don't want Javanese-centric development, but there must be an Indonesian-centric equity. So I have promised, I will come here more often, to Ternate, to Maluku," said Gibran as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, October 16.
To guard this commitment, continued the Vice President, he did not hesitate to go directly to the field.
For example, during a three-day working visit in Maluku and North Maluku Provinces, Gibran went around to see firsthand the conditions on the ground, from Ambon, Langgur, Tual, Sofifi, Jailolo, to Ternate.
As a concrete effort to realize equitable development, Vice President Gibran invites all levels of local government to make the Red and White Cabinet program a success which aims to improve people's welfare.
"So I ask the Governor that the Free Health Check program, People's Schools, Garuda Schools, physical development, please be escorted. And now we from the central government are also committed to continuing to support regional economic development based on local potential, one of which is the Red-White Cooperative program," said the Vice President.
Closing his remarks, Gibran conveyed warm greetings from President Prabowo Subianto to the entire people of Ternate and North Maluku.
He also invited the audience to pray together for the President to always be given health and smoothness in carrying out the mandate to lead the nation.
"Okay, ladies and gentlemen, we will continue to cover the residents of Ternate, all residents of North Maluku. I convey warm greetings from the President to all citizens. Incidentally, tomorrow is his birthday. We pray together that he is healthy for a long life and given smoothness to carry out this task. That's it, thank you," he concluded.
