KPK Forms Selection Pansel For Director Position, It Contains Inspector General Of Police To Civil Society

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) formed a selection committee (pansel) for the open selection of Primary High Leadership Positions (JPT) or echelon II. They come from external and internal elements.

"The selection committee was formed by involving various elements, both internal and external, including high-ranking officials from related agencies, academics, professionals and representatives from ministries and institutions," said Chairman of the Open Selection Committee of JPT Pratama, Ranu Mihardja, to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, October 16.

"This composition is designed to ensure a check and balance and strengthen the independence and credibility of the selection process," he continued.

This Pansel will later have various tasks, such as compiling and setting a schedule and stages of selection to determine the top three best candidates. "And convey the results to the staffing or PPK officer for the final determination process," said Ranu.

There are six positions whose positions are auctioned openly, the process will be carried out starting October 20. The details are the Head of the Legal Bureau, the Director of Community Participation Development, the Director of Investigation, the Director of Prosecution, the Director of Coordination and Supervision of Region V, and the Director of Corruption Detection and Analysis.

"We in the Pansel have a responsibility to maintain the credibility of the selection process so that public trust in the mechanism for filling strategic positions in the KPK is maintained," he concluded.
