2 Canadian Climbers Injured After Papasan With 2 Bear Children, Officers Consider It Reasonable

JAKARTA - At least two hill climbers at Farm Cabin near Lake Pass in British Columbia, Canada, were attacked byurally bears.

The two were attacked by bears after meeting the bear's mother and her two cubs on a hiking trail in Canada.

"They were transported and treated at the University of Northern BC Hospital," local officials said, quoted by ABC News, Thursday, October 16.

The incident occurred on the weekend last Sunday. Currently, the condition of the two victims is stable while recovering.

"The two climbers are in stable condition and are recovering at the hospital," he continued.

The Canadian COS Predator Attack Team, which conducted an investigation into the case, revealed the bear was defensive in nature, considering the location and nature of the incident.

They said officers also did not take any further action against the bears that lived in their nature.

Since the attack, the hiking trail has been closed to date. Warning ramps have also been installed to warn of the potential presence of bears in the area.
