JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Handling Task Force Wiku Adisasmito asked the regional task force to ensure travelers or people who go homecoming during the Eid holiday to quarantine for five days.
"I would like to remind all travelers to quarantine five times 24 hours after returning from their hometowns," Wiku said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, May 18.
Wiku emphasized that quarantine is important and must be done to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 to people who are near the traveler's environment.
In order for the quarantine to run effectively, Wiku asked the regional task forces to optimize the COVID-19 Management Post in their respective areas.
"Immediately report data and make sure all travelers carry out self-quarantine and immediately coordinate with health facilities if positive cases of COVID-19 are found," said Wiku.
