Starting Today, Tanah Abang Station Serves Up / Down Users In The Afternoon

JAKARTA - Tanah Abang Station has returned to serving up and down KRL users after since 3-17 May 2021 it has not served up and down users at 15.00-19.00 WIB. This policy will take effect on Tuesday, 18 May.

This policy was taken in line with the activities of people who have returned to work after the Eid Al-Fitr 2021 holiday.

During the 15 days of restriction, Tanah Abang Station only served an average of 17,457 users per day compared to the previous 31,355 users per day.

"The Tanah Abang Station itself serves 374 KRL trips each day to Bogor, Angke / Jatinegara, and Serpong / Parung Panjang / Rangkasbitung," said VP Corporate Secretary KAI Commuter Anne Purba in an official statement, Tuesday, May 18.

In addition, KAI Commuter has also re-imposed a single access gate at Tanah Abang Station on the north side, so that access to and from Tanah Abang Station on the south side or leading to the Multipurpose Pedestrian Bridge (JPM) is still closed at certain times.

Users who want to transit or just switch train series without leaving / entering Tanah Abang Station are directed through the south side of the station hall. Meanwhile, users who want to leave the station are all directed through the Pedestrian Bridge (JPO) to the north side hall of the station.

KAI Commuter apologizes for the inconvenience of users during the restrictions at Tanah Abang Station in the afternoon. KAI Commuter invites users to adhere to health protocols by maintaining distance, wearing masks, and washing hands before and after riding the KRL.

In addition, users are also required to bring luggage according to the provisions, namely with dimensions of 40 cm x 30 cm x 100 cm.
