Panen Brokoli To Chicken Layer At PNM Food House, Coordinating Minister Zulhas: Help Food Security

JAKARTA - PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) received a visit from the Coordinating Minister (Menko) for Food Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas), who directly reviewed the PNM empowerment program to UlamM and Mekaar customers in Kopeng, Central Java (Central Java).

The activities were carried out by reviewing customer businesses, vegetable breeding, broccoli harvest, weekly group meetings (PKM), and laying chicken food security programs at PNM Food Houses.

This visit was received directly by the President Director of PNM, Arief Mulyadi, and the President Commissioner of PNM, Dradjad Hari Wibowo. Through this activity, PNM shows its commitment in presenting access to capital, assistance, and empowerment programs in line with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 14 of 2025 concerning the Acceleration of Development of Food, Energy and National Water Swasembada Areas.

The series of visits began by reviewing wholesale and retail businesses belonging to customers assisted by PNM who also sold eggs from the results of the PNM Food House. The Coordinating Minister for Food and Food at the Republic of Indonesia also visited a vegetable nursery managed by PNM ULAMM customers, before harvesting broccoli in the fields.

Furthermore, the activity was continued to a weekly group meeting (PKM) at the house of one of the Chairmen of the Mekaar PNM Group, where the Minister was able to witness firsthand the practice of mentoring and developing business capacity carried out by PNM every week for 22.5 million pre-sesejahtera women throughout Indonesia.

The visit closed with a review of the laying hen program at the PNM Food House as a tangible manifestation of PNM's contribution in supporting local community food security.

Based on a PNM survey last September, the majority of customers' families admitted that their diet has become more nutritious since participating in this program.

In addition, this program is proven not only to increase customers' daily income by IDR 50,000 Rp 150,000 per month, but also to improve the quality of family nutrition through more routine egg consumption.

"I thank PNM for helping food security in areas especially in villages. I am sure that the future of mothers will be bright, especially with the assistance of this laying hen program, especially since the President has an MBG program, so God willing, businesses in the field of laying hens will sell well," said Zulhas.

Responding to this, the President Director of PNM, Arief Mulyadi, hopes that PNM can serve the wishes of the wider market, including the opportunities that have been conveyed by the Coordinating Minister for Food.

"Perhaps this is a small contribution from PNM that we can make, starting from meeting each other's needs, environmental needs, and in the future we will expand so that we can meet the needs of the market widely, especially earlier the Coordinating Minister said there would be 82.9 million MBG recipients who needed to be supplied," said Arief.

PNM believes that the sustainability of empowerment does not stop at business capital, but also on how people have a stronger food resistance and economic independence.

The presence of Coordinating Minister for Food Zulhas in this activity is clear evidence of the synergy between the PNM program which is in line with the national development agenda. PNM will continue to be committed to supporting Asta Cita Pemerintah number 3 through strengthening food security based on family empowerment and ultra micro-enterprises.
