Land Fires In West Aceh Expanded To 2.3 Hectares

The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of West Aceh Regency noted that the area of land fires that occurred in three sub-districts in the area has now reached 2.3 hectares from the previous about 1 hectare.

"We are still trying to extinguish the fire at the location of the fire," said Acting Head of BPBD West Aceh Regency Teuku Ronal Nehdiansyah, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, October 10.

There is also the distribution of fire locations where the fire is still being extinguished, including in Suak Raya Village, Johan Pahlawan District, which has burned an area of 1 hectare.

Then in Lapang Village, Ujong Bererosok Hamlet, Johan Pahlawan District, the burned land area was recorded at 0.1 hectares.

Teuku Ronal said that until now BPBD officers from West Aceh Regency are also still trying to extinguish the land fire in Deuah Village, Samatiga District, Aceh Barar Regency with a burned area of up to 1 hectare.

Land fires were also recorded in Ranto Panyang Village, Meureubo District, West Aceh Regency with a burned area of 0.2 hectares.

Teuku Ronal said, as an effort to facilitate the extinguishing of the fire, the West Aceh BPBD also deployed a number of facilities, including one Isuzu D-Max type fire department, one 013 fire department.

Then one Robin engine unit, one Kohler engine unit, and one drone unit, as well as a number of other facilities.

There are also elements involved in the process of extinguishing land fires in West Aceh Regency, including West Aceh BPBD officers, West Aceh BPBD Mako firefighters, Arongan Lambalek Post Firefighters, TNI/Polri, West Aceh Rapi volunteers, and the community around the fire site.

"We are optimistic that this land fire can be overcome," said Teuku Ronal Nehdiansyah.
