WHO Increases Humanitarian Aid After Israel-Hamas Ceasefire

JAKARTA - The World Health Organization (WHO) is ready to increase the distribution and amount of humanitarian aid to Gaza in line with the peace ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.

"WHO is ready to step up its work to meet urgent health needs for patients across Gaza, and to support the rehabilitation of the destroyed health system," said WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Thursday, October 9, confiscated by AFP.

The ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas over the initiation of US President Donald Trump took place on Wednesday, October 8.

Tedros considered the deal to be the beginning of the great step in the eternal peace of the Palestinian state. "The big step towards eternal peace," Tedros said.
