2 Soldiers Died During Preparation For The 80th Anniversary, TNI: We Will Evaluate

Deputy TNI Commander General Tandyo Budi Revita said his party would evaluate the celebration of the TNI's 80th Anniversary this year because it claimed the lives of two soldiers during the series of events.

"We will evaluate (the TNI Anniversary celebration)," Tandyo said when met at the Pesanggrahan State Defense Center Hospital (RSPPN), South Jakarta, Tuesday, was confiscated by Antara.

Tandyo did not explain in detail what would be evaluated from the series of events.

He only explained that the evaluation was carried out so that in the future a similar celebration event could run conducively without having to take lives.

Previously, a Navy soldier, Marine Praka Zaenal Mutaqim died due to an accident during the parachuting procession during the sailing pass or parade of the marine fleet held by the Indonesian Navy in Jakarta Bay, Thursday, October 2.

Zainal is known to be a member of the parachuting team that is currently conducting combat simulations in the context of flattening the TNI's 80th Anniversary.

A few days later, on Saturday (4/10), one of the soldiers of the Army Strategic Reserve Command (Kostrad), Private One Johari Alfari, died from falling from a tank belonging to the Indonesian Army.

Pangkostrad Lt. Gen. Mohamad Fadjar said Johari was currently on a tank carried by a transporter vehicle. The tank will be moved for the purposes of the TNI's peak event which will be held in the National Monument (Monas) area, Jakarta, Sunday (5/10).

During the process of moving the tanks, Johari fell from the top of the tank in the vicinity of the Monas area. Johari fell from a height of about 4 meters and suffered injuries to several parts of the body and fractures.

Johari was taken to the hospital for medical treatment, but died on his way to the hospital.
