Secretly Azis Syamsuddin Examined Dewas KPK Related To The Case Of KPK Investigators Realtor Case

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Azis Syamsuddin was asked for information by the Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (Dewas KPK).

The information from Golkar Party politicians was unearthed related to the alleged violation of the ethics of KPK investigator, Stepanus Robin Pattuju who is now a suspect in the alleged bribery case handling the case of The Mayor of Tanjungbalai M. Syahrial.

"Yes it is this morning," said Member of Dewas KPK, Syamsuddin Haris when confirmed, Monday, May 17.

Known, Stepanus along with lawyer Maskur Husain is alleged to have received a bribe from M. Syahrial amounting to Rp 1.3 billion from a deal of Rp 1.5 billion.

The bribe was given so that Stepanus helped stop the investigation of the alleged sale and purchase of positions in Tanjungbalai which is being investigated by the KPK. Azis Syamsuddin himself is referred to as the party that facilitated the meeting between Stepanus and Syahrial at his home in October 2020.

Confirmed about the material in dewas when asking for information Azis Syamsuddin, Haris claimed not to know for sure. This is because Haris was not present at the examination.

"I don't know because I didn't check," he said.

KPK is known to have appointed its investigator from the police, Stepanus Robin Pattuju as a suspect in the alleged bribery case handling the case of the Mayor of Tanjungbalai.

Stepanus and lawyer Maskur Husain allegedly received bribes from the Mayor of Tanjungbalai, M. Syahrial amounting to Rp 1.3 billion from a Rp 1.5 billion deal so that the alleged corruption case involving Syahrial did not continue.

Not only processing the law, the Chairman of kpk, Firli Bahuri ensured, it will also report Stepanus to the KPK Supervisory Board regarding his actions. This is because Stepanus' actions are contrary to the code of ethics of KPK employees.

"In addition to the handling of these crimes, KPK will also report these alleged violations of ethics to the KPK Supervisory Board," Firli said at the KPK Building, Jakarta, Thursday, April 22, evening.
