Wisma Atlet Receives 6 COVID-19 Reactive Patients From Backflow Sealing Sites

JAKARTA - COVID-19 Emergency Hospital (RSDC) Wisma Atlet Kemayoran received six reactive patients after an antigen swab test was conducted at the sealing location during the Lebaran backflow.

Coordinator of COVID-19 Emergency Hospital (RSDC) Wisma Atlet Kemayoran, Maj. Gen. Tugas Ratmono said the six travelers came from the sealing location, precisely at Cikampek KM 34 Toll Road, to then conduct PCR tests twice.

"Currently there are six that have been transferred, detected by reactive swab antigen COVID-19. Hopefully, there will not be many increases," said Tugas Ratmono when met at Wisma Atlet Kemayoran Central Jakarta, as quoted by Antara, Monday, May 17.

The task of explaining the travelers has been informed in Tower 4 to undergo a PCR test. Then if the result is positive, will be placed in Tower 5 to be isolated if the patient is classified as OTG (person without symptoms) or Tower 6 and Tower 7 if the patient has symptoms.

If the PCR result is negative, residents must undergo quarantine for the next five days to be conducted a second PCR test, then repatriated if the result is negative.

The task added, the number of inpatients at RSDC Wisma Atlet Kemayoran in May 2021 is the lowest since August last year. COVID-19 pandemic control so far is quite good, seen with a ramped curve.

Based on the data of the Defense Region Joint Command Information, the number of inpatients confirmed positive as of Monday, May 17, as many as 929 people or 15.5 percent of the existing capacity of 5,994 people.

Nevertheless, Tugas asked that the public remain vigilant in anticipation of an increase in the number of cases. Based on previous experience, the number of patients treated at RSDC Wisma Atlet increased by about 30-50 percent from the previous capacity, after a long holiday moment.

"I think this since August, May 2021 is the lowest. Although occupancy in RSDC is low at the moment, we invite everyone to refrain, do not get infected and transmit," said Tugas.
