Not Only BUMD Dharma Jaya, Management Of Pasar Jaya's Land Parking In Cikini Is Also Illegal

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta DPRD Parking Special Committee (Pansus) has again found illegal parking management on land owned by regionally owned enterprises (BUMD) DKI. Previously, illegal parking operations were found on land owned by Perumda Dharma Jaya.

Now, the Parking Special Committee also found land belonging to Perumda Pasar Jaya, namely the Cikini Gold Center building, Jalan Pegangsaan Timur, Menteng, Central Jakarta with parking operator PT Rodial Indonesia.

This was conveyed by Jupiter after conducting inspections and sealing the Cikini Gold Center parking lot with the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency.

"This is a location where there is an illegal operator on PD Pasar Jaya's land, namely BUMD. The irony is that PD Pasar Jaya is land owned by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. We don't know the reason why this operator didn't make a permit," said Jupiter, Wednesday, October 1.

Jupiter emphasized that the existence of illegal parking and operators that evade parking taxes must be eradicated indiscriminately, even though the parking management is located on land owned by the DKI Provincial Government.

The DKI Transportation Agency, according to him, should not only be firm in controlling illegal parking on roads, but also parking off roads managed by private parties.

"Don't let parking attendants, jukir-jukir who are on the side of the road, they are looking for money just for a piece of rice, just to eat, to continue their lives, they are caught. Meanwhile, operators like the existing ones operate massively in this building, then there is neglect," said Jupiter.

"There are many potential losses of regional revenue to Bapenda. Where, there is a 10 percent parking tax that must be deposited, but there are still many irregularities, there are still many tax restrictions, which have been carried out by parking operators in Jakarta," he continued.

In addition to the Cikini Gold Center, the Parking Special Committee and the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency also sealed the parking lot at the East Sentra Apartment in Pulo Gebang with parking operator PT Duta Selaras Solusindo, BSI Campus Pemuda University in Rawamangun with the operator of the BSI Rawamangun Foundation, the Liara Pengadegan Language Institute Building with the Kopkar operator of the Liga Language Foundation.

Based on Jupiter's calculations, due to illegal parking management from the four parking locations that were sealed today, the DKI Provincial Government has lost tax revenue of up to IDR 70 billion per year.

This value does not include unlicensed parking operators that have not been sealed by the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency in all areas of Jakarta. Jupiter estimates that the total potential lost regional income will reach trillions of rupiah.

"The potential loss, I believe, is increasing in Jakarta. The potential for local revenue from the parking sector and also from the rental sector for the land of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government which should be the original regional income can be more than IDR 1.4 trillion," he added.
