CFD Sudirman-Thamrin Will Still Be Held During The TNI Anniversary This Week

JAKARTA - The implementation of motorized vehicle free days (HBKB) or car free day (CFD) in Sudirman-Thamrin will still be held during the celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Indonesian National Army (TNI).

This was conveyed by DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung after coordinating with the TNI ahead of the anniversary commemoration which will be held on Sunday, October 5.

"Because it coincided with Sunday, we had a consultation with the Pangdam Jaya, on that day the car free day was still held because it was in accordance with the direction from the TNI Headquarters," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, October 1.

Pramono hopes that various activities in Jakarta at the weekend, including CFD Sudirman-Thamrin and the celebration of the TNI's anniversary in the National Monument area, can take place without obstacles.

"Hopefully this will provide benefits for all of us," said Pramono.

In addition, the DKI Provincial Government will impose a special tariff for public transportation in Jakarta during the TNI Anniversary. people can use public transportation services only at a rate of IDR 80.

"On October 5, all transportation managed by the DKI Jakarta Government, namely TransJakarta, MRT, LRT, and also the Jabodebek and Microtrans LRT, all of which pay 80 rupiah," said Pramono.

Pramono said that the special tariff for public transportation modes at the peak of the TNI Anniversary celebrations was a form of appreciation to soldiers who had been protecting the nation.

To note, the series of TNI Anniversary celebrations has been rolling since August 2025 with sports competition activities held simultaneously throughout Indonesia.

Then, as many as 100,000 personnel will be involved in the celebration of the TNI's 80th Anniversary at Monas, Central Jakarta, on Sunday, October 5, 2025.

"It is planned to involve TNI personnel and the community who are members of the Reserve and Support Components with around 100 thousand, which are still dynamically adjusting to the needs and deployments of troops," said Head of the TNI Information Center (Kapuspen TNI) Brigadier General Freddy Ardianzah, Tuesday, September 16.
