JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Gibran Rakabuming Raka reminded that the construction of the MRT Jakarta Phase 2A must pay attention to the established standards and the targeted completion schedule, namely in 2027 for the HI Roundabout segment "Harmoni and 2029 for Harmony". City.

Gibran directly conveyed his directives to the President Director of PT MRT Jakarta Tuhiyat during the working visit session of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia at the construction site of the Sawah Besar MRT Station, Jakarta, Monday, September 29, as confirmed by the Secretariat of the Vice President, Tuesday.

The visit, the Vice Presidential Secretariat explained, is proof of the government's commitment to directly check the progress of safe, affordable public transportation development, and which can support the mobility of urban communities.

MRT Sawah Besar Station is part of the construction of MRT Jakarta Phase 2A for the Harmony 'City segment. At the station construction site, Vice President Gibran received an explanation of the important achievements of the construction of MRT Jakarta Phase 2A, namely the success of the underground drilling machine (bunnel boring machine) opening an underground route to connect the Bundaran HI MRT Station to Sawah Besar MRT Station.

The construction of the MRT Jakarta Phase 2 consists of two stages, namely Phase 2A and Phase 2B. Phase 2A consists of seven underground MRT stations, namely MRT Thamrin Station, Monas, Harmoni, Sawah Besar, Mangga Besar, Glodok, and Jakarta Kota. The overall length of the underground route reaches 5.8 kilometers. Meanwhile, Phase 2B covers two underground stations, namely MRT Mangga Dua Station and Ancol, and one depot at Ancol Marina. The total length of the route is about 6 kilometers.
