Disabilities In Jambi 16 Thousand People, Ombudsman Opens Phone Channel If Service Constrained

JAKARTA - The Jambi Ombudsman said that as many as 16 thousand people with disabilities are required to receive special services in order to accelerate the acceptance and completion of population administration reports.

"Services for disabilities must focus, I hope there will be no reports due to service problems. If there are findings, quickly resolve them," said Jambi Ombudsman Representative Chief Saiful Roswandi in Jambi, Tuesday, as quoted by Antara.

He emphasized that all Social Service (Dinsos) in districts and cities can meet the needs of administrative services, especially for people with disabilities.

Given, the number of people with disabilities in Jambi Province is quite large. All require the same administration as the other general public. For this reason, the Ombudsman wants to ensure services for those who have close relations, especially for aid recipients.

Moreover, currently the requirements for receiving assistance must have administrative completeness such as ID cards and other documents.

So far, the Ombudsman has often received complaints, it is still found that services for people with disabilities are still like normal people.

Saiful asked the Social Service to accelerate the ball pick-up service, avoiding people with disabilities to come repeatedly to complete population administration matters.

According to him, the most substantive principle in service is fast, cheap and easy to create satisfaction for the community.

Services do not have to be seen in terms of facilities, good service is a combination of harmonization of user interactions and service providers.

"Anyone who experiences problems with reporting services to the Ombudsman, doesn't need to come, just go through a cell phone communication channel. The action is the same, why is it easy, because the nature of the service must be cheap and fast," he said.
