Kejari Hetikan Penyidikan Kasus Korupsi Uang Donasi Gempa BPBD Pasaman

The District Attorney (Kejari) of Pasaman Regency in West Sumatra (West Sumatra) has stopped investigating cases of alleged corruption related to the use of donations for the Malampah Earthquake Care Fund, Tigo Nagari District in 2022 at the Pasaman Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).

The head of the Pasaman Sobeng Suradal District Attorney's Office in Lubuk Attitude, Wednesday, said that the termination of the investigation was carried out because no unlawful acts and potential state losses were found in this case.

"After going through an in-depth investigation process, no unlawful acts and potential state losses were found in this case," said Sobeng Suradal.

Sobyng Suradal explained that based on the results of the investigation, the amount of donations that care about the Malampah earthquake collected until the end of December 2022 in the account of Bank Nagari Lubuk Attitude Branch was IDR 2,000,210,683.

"As of January 20, 2025, account balances were still recorded at IDR 1,520,966,186. Plus monthly bank interest of around IDR 2 million to IDR 2.5 million," he said.

He mentioned that from the results of checking the bank statements, the withdrawal of the use of donations was recorded at IDR 590,032,500.

"In addition, the use of donations from Korpri's contributions reached Rp. 157,803,500. Thus, the total use of the overall donation fund is Rp. 747,836,000," he explained.

Sobyng explained that the investigation of this case was carried out based on the Investigation Order Number: PRINT 01/L.3.18/Fd.1/05/2025 dated May 5, 2025.

"The investigative team has examined 24 witnesses and clarified and verified the Accountability Letter (SPJ) regarding the use of donation funds," he said.

Verifikasi juga dilakukan langsung kepada tujuh toko penyedia bahan bangunan dan kebutuhan lain, dengan nilai transaksi sesuai penggunaan dana sebesar Rp747.836,000.

From these results, investigators obtained valid evidence both formally and materially.

"Based on the results of the investigation, the use of donations funds is in accordance with its designation. There were no unlawful acts or losses to state finances," he said.

Based on these results, the investigation was then exposed at the West Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office.

"In the title of the case, it was agreed that the investigation of this case was terminated by law," he said.

Following up on the results of the exposure, the Pasaman Prosecutor's Office issued an Order to Terminate Investigation Number: PRINT-1043/L.3.18/Fd.1/09/2025 dated 12 September 2025.

"The letter confirms that the alleged corruption case in the use of donations from the 2022 Pasaman Earthquake Care Fund has been officially stopped," he said.
