West Jakarta Metro Police appealed to motorists not to cross the Pesing flyover following an accident that killed a motorist as a result of being run over by a truck at the location on Tuesday, September 23.

The Head of Operations Development Affairs (KBO) of the West Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit, AKP Sudarmo, said the Pesing flyover was narrow, had strong winds, and had claimed many victims due to traffic accidents.
"There are already signs that are clearly installed, motorbikes are prohibited from crossing this route. This appeal is for mutual safety, because the route is prone to accidents and even causes casualties," said Sudarmo, quoted from ANTARA, Wednesday, September 24.

He explained that the victim, who is a resident of Kebumen, Central Java, was driving his motorbike from east to west.
"Arriving near the incline of the flyover, the victim lost control and hit the road divider," Joko explained.
As a result, the motorbike bounced in the opposite direction, while the victim fell and was run over by Hino's truck like it was open.
It did not stop there, the motorbike, which was released from control, also continued to drive and hit the Daihatsu box car with police number B 9970 KCA driven by Arif Setiantoko (36), a resident of South Jakarta.
As a result of the accident, the victim's motorbike was badly damaged, especially on the front and right side.
