The Thief Of A Tank Truck Speedometer At Muara Angke Port Was Successfully Arrested

North Jakarta Sunda Kelapa Police arrested two men with the initials I-N (46) and M (46) who stole two units of tank truck speedometers belonging to PT Kapedepe Jaya Abadi in the parking lot of the Muara Angke Port Syahbandar office, Pluit Village, Penjaringan District, North Jakarta, last Saturday, July 26, at around 06.10 WIB.

"We arrested the perpetrator with the initials M on Sunday after a series of investigations were carried out. The perpetrator was arrested at his residence in the Muara Baru area, Penjaringan," said Sunda Kelapa Police Chief AKP Hitler Napitupulu, Wednesday, September 24.

After interrogation of perpetrator M, continued AKP Hitler, officers immediately moved to arrest the suspect perpetrator I-N.

"The perpetrator of IN was arrested along with evidence and tools used to steal," said Hitler.

Currently, the perpetrators are detained at the Sunda Kelapa Regional Police and charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code paragraph (1) 3rd, 4th, and 5th with a maximum penalty of 7 years in prison.

"The two perpetrators have also committed theft in a number of locations," he said.

While stealing a speedometer, the perpetrator IN acted as the executor who entered by jumping over the fence and destroying the car door using scissors and a screwdriver.

Meanwhile, suspect M was waiting on a motorbike and was in charge of monitoring the surrounding situation.

"After the victim reported the incident along with CCTV footage (supervisory cameras) on Monday, September 8, the police conducted an intensive investigation until we made an arrest," said Hitler.
