DPR Plenary Session Sahkan 9 Hakim Agung Dan Hakim Ad Hoc HAM MA 2025

JAKARTA - The Indonesian House of Representatives approved the approval of 9 Supreme Court Justices and Ad Hoc HAM Judges at the 2025 Supreme Court in the 5th Plenary Meeting of the First Session Period of 2025-2026 at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 23.

The ratification was decided by the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, as the chair of the Plenary Meeting on the report of Commission III of the DPR RI on the results of the fit and proper test for Candidates for Supreme Court Justices and Ad Hoc HAM Judges at the Supreme Court in 2025, followed by decision making.

"To the leadership of Commission III of the DPR RI, the honorable Brother Dede Indra Permana Soediro, SH, MH, we invite to submit a report on the results of the fit and proper test for Candidates for Supreme Court Justices and Ad Hoc HAM Judges at the Supreme Court in 2025," said Puan in a plenary meeting.

Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI, Dede Indra Permana said that on August 11, 2025, there was a proposal for the names of candidates for Supreme Court justices and ad hoc HAM judges at the Supreme Court from the Judicial Commission. Then followed up by the Deliberative Body (Bamus) on August 25, 2025.

Then on September 3, 2025, Commission III of the DPR RI has held a plenary meeting of the stages of the fit and proper test including discussing drafts, mechanisms and regulations, schedule drafts, announcement drafts in print media and paper title drafts in carrying out the preparation of the fit test stages.

On September 18, 2025, Commission III of the DPR RI held a hearing with the selection committee or the committee of the Judicial Commission for candidates for Supreme Court justices and ad hoc HAM judges in 2025 to obtain an implementation related to the selection process. Furthermore, Commission III of the DPR RI began a fit test by taking serial numbers and candidates for judges and continued with the making of a paper aimed at knowing the vision and mission of candidates if they were elected as Supreme Court Justices and ad hoc HAM judges at the Supreme Court in 2025.

Commission III of the DPR RI has finished conducting the due diligence session on candidates for Supreme Court justices and ad hoc HAM judges MA on September 15, 2025.

"Furthermore, Commission III of the DPR RI held a plenary meeting on September 16, 2025 with the agenda of making decisions or giving approval to candidates for Supreme Court justices and ad hoc HAM at the Supreme Court," said Dede Indra.

After hearing the views of 8 factions in Parliament, Commission III of the DPR RI then approved 9 candidates for Supreme Court justices and 1 candidate for ad hoc HAM judge at the Supreme Court in 2025.

"The trial of the Council that we respect, Now we ask the honorable Council Session, whether the Commission III report of the DPR RI on the Results of the Feasibility Test (Fit and Proper Test) of Candidates for Supreme Court Justices and Ad Hoc HAM Judges at the 2025 Supreme Court can be approved ?," asked Puan followed by the approval of all members of the council present.

4. Dr. Hj. Lailatul Arafah, MH as Supreme Court Justice of the Ministry of Religion

5. Dra. Hj. Muhayah, SH, MH as Supreme Court Justice of the Ministry of Religion

6. Dr. Sugiharto Day, SH, MH as Supreme Court Justice of the State Chamber of Administration

7. Dr. Budi Nugroho, SH, SE, M. Hum. as Supreme Court Justice of the State Administrative Chamber (Khusus Pajak)
