JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya finally revealed the motive for the kidnapping and murder of Mohammad Ilham Pradipta, the Head of the Sub-Ban Bank BUMN Branch who was found dead in Bekasi, on Thursday, August 21 with a pathetic condition: body tied, eyes taped, and full of bruises.

Dirreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Wira Satya Triputra, explained that the main motive behind this crime was to drain funds fromdomant's account (a passive token). There are 17 people named as suspects and detained in this case. 1 person is still declared fugitive. 2 of the 17 suspects are TNI personnel.

The question is, has the police conveyed the chronology of the incident correctly? The reason is, the suspects are not subject to Article 340 of the Criminal Code concerning premeditated murder, which carries a heavier penalty, namely the death penalty or life imprisonment.
