House Fire Of Chairman-Vice Chairman Of DPRD Parigi Moutong Sulteng Investigated

Police investigate the cause of the house fire of the chairman and vice chairman of the Parliament of Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi (ANTARA)

JAKARTA - Police are investigating the cause of a house fire by the chairman and vice chairman of the Parliament of Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi.

"At this time we are still conducting an investigation. We have not been able to conclude the cause of this incident," Said Kasat Reskrim Police Parigi Moutong AKP Donatus Kono quoted Antara, Friday, May 14.

Parigi Moutong Police Department involved the Automatic Finger Print Identification System (Inafis) team of Sulteng Police when conducting a crime scene (tkp) of two houses of the dprd leadership to expedite the investigation.

In the investigation, police took several samples at homes affected by the fire, then conducted further research or forensic tests in order to determine the cause of the fire.

"In forensic tests later we first coordinated with the lever team on the samples we took. This process takes some time in the future we can tell the results" said Donatus.

Police have not been able to release any allegations regarding the fire. "In essence, we await the outcome of the investigation. We can't be fooled," Donatus added.

Two houses led by the Regional Parliament of Parigi Moutong Regency in Maesa Subdistrict, Parigi Subdistrict, caught fire on Thursday, May 13, evening.

Initially the source of the fire came from the living room of the dprd chairman's house before spreading to the vice chairman's house.

At the time of the incident, the Chairman of the Regional Parliament of Parigi Moutong Sayutin Budianto was not at his office because he was celebrating Eid in Pinotu Village, Toeibulu District.

The fire was extinguished only an hour later by a unit of fire engines, a water canon car union owned by Parigi Moutong Police, and a unit of local Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) cars.
