JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Food, Maritime and Agricultural Security Service (DKPKP) Hasudungan Sidabalok revealed that his party will summon PT Karya Citra Nusantara (KCN) to follow up on the issue of a concrete embankment in Cilincing waters, North Jakarta.
"We will summon business actors to immediately formulate compensation from the impact of the construction on fishermen," Hasudungan told reporters, Wednesday, September 17.
The DKI Provincial Government has asked PT KCN to improve the quality of the environment affected by the pollution of concrete embankment materials in the Cilincing Sea.
"Among them is by bringing fishing ground closer by improving the water environment and providing FAD to bring fish closer," said Hasudungan.
In addition, the DKI Provincial Government will record the affected fishermen and have difficulty accessing the sea due to this concrete embankment. They, continued Hasudungan, will be compensated.
"We will make sure the affected fishermen are well recorded, as well as record the needs of fishermen so that the compensation provided is right on target and right on purpose," he said.
Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung admitted that he could not intervene in relation to the existence of a concrete fence on the coast of Cilincing, North Jakarta. This is because the construction has obtained a permit from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) of the Republic of Indonesia.
The KKP has officially issued a approval permit for the suitability of sea space utilization activities (PKKPRL) for PT KCN with the allocation of public port construction, in 2023.
"Indeed, after I checked the permit for the company, it was complete. So, we also can't do anything, because it is the authority of the Ministry of KKP," Pramono told reporters, Saturday, September 13.

Nevertheless, Pramono stated that he had ordered the Water Resources Service to communicate with PT KCN. The goal is that the activities of the fishermen around the concrete fence are not disturbed.
"But the most important thing is Jakarta's responsibility so that they are not disturbed by making a living," he explained
