Mandalika Effect 2025: Lombok Airport Passengers Increase By 3 Percent

CENTRAL LOMBOK - PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, Lombok Airport Branch Office, West Nusa Tenggara, recorded an increase in the number of passengers during the running event at the Mandalika Circuit, Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ), on September 13, 2025.

"This national-scale sports activity is proven to encourage the arrival of tourists and participants from various regions in Indonesia, as well as have a positive impact on air traffic at Lombok Airport," said General Manager of Lombok Airport Stephanus Millyas Wardana in Central Lombok, Antara, Tuesday, September 16.

He explained that the Mandalika 2025 running event had a double effect on tourism in West Nusa Tenggara Province, especially Lombok.

In addition to promoting Mandalika as a sport tourism destination, this activity also increases passenger movement at Lombok Airport which is the main gateway to NTB.

"Based on Lombok Airport traffic data, in the period 8'14 September 2025, the number of passengers was recorded at 52,416 people, or an increase of three percent compared to the period 1'7 September 2025 which reached 50,908 people," he said.

Stephanus said the increase in the number of passengers during running activities in Mandalika showed that the sporting event not only succeeded in attracting thousands of participants, but also had a positive economic impact on various sectors, especially the tourism sectors in Lombok and NTB.
