Vice President Gibran Scheduled To Visit South Papua Check MBG And Health Check

JAKARTA - Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka is scheduled to visit South Papua Province on September 16-17, 2025.

South Papua Governor Apolo Safanpo said his party had held a regional coordination meeting with the Presidential Advance Team and Paspampres to discuss the location to be visited by the Vice President.

"The meeting was held so that the Vice President's visit to Central Papua runs safely and smoothly," he said in a statement in Jayapura, Antara, Monday, September 15.

The working visit of Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka to South Papua to ensure that national programs that are already running in this area include Free Nutrition Food (MBG) and free health checks.

Before heading to Merauke, South Papua and Jayapura City, Vice President Gibran will visit Papua New Guinea (PNG).

Furthermore, Vice President Gibran visited Jayapura and planned to visit people's schools in Jayapura City.

The Regent of Merauke, Yoseph Gebze, said that his party hopes that the visit of the Vice President can pay attention to the area in order to support national programs.

"We also continue to support so that national programs such as MBG run well," he said.
