A Number Of Big Cities In Indonesia Potentially Rain September 12

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts a number of major cities in Indonesia have the potential to rain on Friday, September 12.

BMKG Prakirawati Sentia Arianti said that the Sumatra area generally experienced light rain, including Banda Aceh, Medan, Tanjung Pinang, Padang, Jambi, Bengkulu, Palembang, Pangkalpinang, and Bandar Lampung.

"Be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning in Pekanbaru City," said Sentia, quoted by ANTARA, Friday morning.

He said the condition of Java is generally thick cloudy, especially Semarang and Surabaya, light rain in Jakarta and Yogyakarta, and moderate rain in Serang.

"Be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning in the city of Bandung," he continued.

The areas of Bali and Nusa Tenggara are forecast for light rain in Denpasar, Mataram, and Kupang, while Kalimantan light rain has the potential to occur in Palangkaraya and Banjarmasin.

Tanjung Selor, Pontianak, and Samarinda have the potential for rain accompanied by lightning.

In Sulawesi, thick cloudy weather occurs in Gorontalo, Kendari, and Makassar, while light rain is predicted in Manado, Palu, and Mamuju.

The eastern region of Indonesia is forecasted for light rain in Ternate, Ambon, Sorong, Manokwari, and Merauke, while the rain is in Nabire, Jayapura, and Jayawijaya.
