Rudy Tanoe, Brother Of Hary Tanoe, Sues Pretrial After Becoming A Suspect, KPK: Investigations According To The Rules

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed the investigation of alleged corruption in the distribution of rice social assistance to beneficiary families (KPM) of the Family Hope Program (PKH) for Fiscal Year 2020 according to the rules.

This was conveyed by KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo in response to the pretrial submitted by media businessman Hary Tanoesodibjo, Bambang Rudijanto Tanoesoedibjo or Rudy Tanoe who was a suspect in this case. The lawsuit was filed at the South Jakarta District Court (PN).

"We ensure that all investigations and investigations by the KPK, including the determination of the suspect, are in accordance with the provisions of the applicable laws and regulations, both in the formal and material aspects," Budi told reporters in a written statement, Thursday, September 11.

Budi ensured that his agency was ready to face the lawsuit. The legal bureau will appear in court on Monday, September 15.

This presence is also a form of respect for the suspect's rights.

"The KPK as the respondent will attend the scheduled hearing," he said.

"We believe the objectiveity and independence of judges in deciding this pretrial later. We also believe in the commitment of law enforcement that supports efforts to eradicate corruption," continued Budi.

Meanwhile, Rudy's pretrial lawsuit is registered at the South Jakarta District Court with case number: 102/Pid.Pra/2025/PN JKT.SEL. President Commissioner of PT Dosni Roha Logistik sued KPK cq led by the KPK.

The inaugural trial was held on Thursday, September 4. The next trial with the agenda of summoning the respondent (KPK) will be held on Monday, September 15.

In his petitum, Rudy asked the sole judge of the South Jakarta District Court to declare that the KPK's action to establish himself as a suspect was an arbitrary act because it was not in accordance with the procedure and was against the law. Rudy wants the KPK to determine the suspect without binding legal force.

Apart from Rudy, the KPK also appointed Edy Suharto as the former Director General of Social Empowerment of the Ministry of Social Affairs and now serves as an expert staff of the Minister of Social Affairs for Changes and Social Dynamics and Kanisius Jerry Tengker who is the President Director of PT Dosni Roha Logistics in 2020-2022.
