Cathedral Church Restricts Congregation Of Worship Ascension Of Jesus Christ

JAKARTA - The Cathedral Church limits the number of people who follow the worship of The Ascension of Jesus Christ. Only 150 worshippers can worship in the Cathedral to implement health protocols and efforts to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.

"The Minister (Yaqut Cholil Qoumas) affirms a maximum of 50 percent of the capacity of places of worship. We even in the Cathedral Church and other churches only about 150 people", said Secretary-General of the Archdiocese of Jakarta Father V Adi Prasojo quoted Antara, Thursday, May 13.

This celebration is divided into three sessions, namely morning, afternoon, and afternoon mass. For morning and afternoon mass is done face-to-face especially for parishioners of the Cathedral who register through the Belarasa page and there is also a broadcast online.

While the afternoon is done online through the Youtube page Komsos Katedral Jakarta. At 09.00 AM led by Father Hani Rudi Hartoko, at 11.00 AM by Father Y. Edi Mulyono, and at 18.00 WIB by Father Triyudo Prastowo.

The Cathedral Church also provides body temperature gauges, handwashing, and hand sanitizers in the entrance area, as well as regulating the sitting distance of worshippers as an effort to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.

"Those who register to the website of Belarasa from the Archdiocese of Jakarta will get a QR Code to be carried when attending mass with an ID card", he said.
