BOGOR - Deputy Minister of Social Affairs (Wamensos) Agus Jabo Priyono handed over a total compensation of Rp. 62 million to the heirs of the victims who died due to the collapse of the taklim assembly building in Sukamakmur Village, Ciomas District, Bogor Regency, West Java, Wednesday, September 10.

The disaster occurred during the commemoration of the Prophet's birthday on Sunday, September 7, resulting in 176 victims, with details of four deaths and 32 serious injuries who are still being treated in hospital.

"On behalf of the central government, we provide compassion to the heirs to ease their burden. We also express our deepest condolences," said Agus Jabo.

Compensation is given to the heirs of four victims who died Rp. 15 million each. Namely Apipudin (husband of the deceased Irni Susanti), Moh. Sopian (child of the deceased Ulan), Hendra (husband of the deceased Yuli), and Hotib (husband of the deceased Nurhayati). In addition, the Ministry of Social Affairs distributed ATENSI assistance in the form of basic necessities, nutrition, and personal hygiene equipment worth a total of IDR 2 million to heirs.

The Ministry of Social Affairs also dispatched a Psychosocial Support Service Team from the Bogor Pakuan Galih Center to accompany the victim's family. Agus Jabo emphasized that the government continues to collect data so that all injured victims receive assistance.
