Three TV Robbers At Uya Kuya's House Arrested

JAKARTA - The police arrested three suspects who stole the television during the looting at the house of Member of Commission IX of the House of Representatives (DPR) Surya Uya Kuya in the Pondok Bambu area, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, on August 30, 2025.

"There are three additional suspects in the looting of Uya Kuya's house," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Alfian Nurrizal when contacted by ANTARA in Jakarta, Wednesday.

The three suspects took action by taking Uya Kuya's television at the same time.

"The three suspects who stole a television together during the looting of Uya Kuya's house, they took three of them," said East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKBP Dicky Fertoffan when contacted separately.

They were arrested at their respective homes in the East Jakarta area on Monday, September 8.

"We secured yesterday the day after tomorrow the perpetrators were at their respective homes, in East Jakarta, then secured to the East Jakarta Metro Police," said Dicky.

In a video circulating on social media, two women are seen wearing black and dark green striped long clothes, and one man in black is walking with television from Uya Kuya's house.

They looked happy and someone who captured the moment said 'yur, again BU (needed money)'. In addition, the video also says 'can you get a TV chess champion for me'.

With the arrests of the three suspects, a total of 15 people have been named as suspects in the looting of Uya Kuya's house.

"Three suspects were arrested, so a total of 15 suspects have been arrested," said Dicky.

So far, the police are still developing an investigation to reveal the possibility of other perpetrators involved in the looting.
