Menpora Reshuffled, Minister Of State Secretary: Substitute For Ario Bimo Has Not Been Inaugurated Still Outside The City

JAKARTA - Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi stated that the replacement of the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Ario Bimo Nandito Aritedjo had not been inaugurated because he was out of town.

"With regard to the Menpora, being a substitute for the Menpora happens to be in a position outside the city, so they cannot take part in the inauguration this afternoon," said Prasetyo at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Monday, which was confiscated by Antara.

According to Prasetyo, the inauguration should have been carried out in conjunction with a number of other ministers at the State Palace this afternoon. However, due to these conditions, the Menpora inauguration procession was only postponed.

He said the inauguration of the new minister would be rescheduled for the next occasion. "It will be rescheduled for the next inauguration," said Prasetyo.

Dito Ariotedjo has expressed his gratitude to all elements of Indonesian society before he was dismissed from his position as minister in the Red and White Cabinet.

"Thank you to all those who have worked together, trying to make changes in the youth and sports fields. Hopefully, the next successor will be continued," wrote Dito Ariotedjo through his social media account which was monitored in Jakarta, Monday.

The 34-year-old minister was confirmed to have resigned after Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi announced the reshuffle of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka on Monday afternoon.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports, which is currently led by Dito, is said to be one of five ministries in the Red and White Cabinet which was overhauled with the Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Protection for Indonesian Migrant Workers, and the Ministry of Cooperatives.

President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated five new officials of the Red and White Cabinet in a reshuffle held at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday afternoon.

Mukhtarudin was appointed as Minister for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI)/Head of the Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Agency (BP2MI) replacing Abdul Kadir Karding.

The President also appointed Purbaya Yudhi Sadive as Minister of Finance (Menkeu) replacing Sri Mulyani Indrawati, then inaugurated Ferry Joko Juliantono as Minister of Cooperatives replacing Budi Arie Setiadi, and also appointed Mochamad Irfan Yusuf Hasyim as Minister of Hajj and Umrah along with Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak as Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah.

President Prabowo Subianto also dismissed Budi Gunawan as Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) and Ario Bimo Nandito Ariotedjo as Minister of Youth and Sports. So far, the Head of State has not appointed a replacement for Dito or Budi Gunawan.

The entire process of inauguration and appointment of officials is based on Presidential Decree No. 86P 2025 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of the Ministers and Deputy Ministers of the Red and White Cabinet 2024-2029.
