Deploy A Team, Kompolnas Monitors Rheza Sendy Case To The Shooting Of Eye Gas At Unisba-Unpas

JAKARTA - The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) has deployed teams to several parts of Indonesia to monitor cases of alleged ethical violations committed by the police, one of which is related to the case of Rheza Sendy Pratama's death.

The student of Communication Science at the University of Amikom Yogyakarta is suspected of being a victim of violence by the police during an action in front of the Yogyakarta Regional Police, Sunday, August 31.

"Kompolnas juga sedang menurunkan tim dan monitoring di beberapa titik, salah satu yang sedang bekerja timnya ada di Jogjakarta," ujar Komisis Kompolnas Choirul Anam kepada wartawan, Selasa, 2 September.

Not only that, Kompolnas also monitors the development of cases of suspected shooting of tear gas at Unisba and Unpas Campus.

With this monitoring, it is hoped that it can shed light on the series of events that actually occurred.

"Yes, we are investigating what is in Bandung," he said.

On the other hand, Kompolnas will also provide assistance to prominent cases related to riots. So, it can ensure that the handling of the police goes according to procedures.

"So we are monitoring this whole process, including helping fellow assistants to get access to assistance," said Anam.

Previously, Rheza's father, Yoyon Surono, revealed the pathetic condition of his son's body. The wounds were clear when he took part in bathing Rheza's body.

Allegedly, the cause of Rheza's death was due to being a victim of violence by the police.

"Earlier I took a bath, here (the neck) was broken, what was it like, then here (left right) it was a mark of footrest, then here (the body) there were cuts like used slashes, then the head was a little leaking here, here (face) like white-and-white hit by tear gas, the same leg abrasions, abrasions back," said Yoyon.
