Mataram Police Reveals State Losses In Corruption Case Of NTB PUPR Heavy Equipment Lease LDR 3.2 Billion

The Mataram City Police revealed the value of state financial losses from the corruption case in the lease of heavy equipment belonging to the Lombok Island Provincial Road Maintenance Center at the West Nusa Tenggara PUPR Service reaching Rp3.2 billion.

Head of the Mataram Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Regi Halili said investigators received the value of this loss from the audit results of the NTB Representative Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).

"We received Rp3.2 billion in state losses from BPKP in writing," he said in Mataram, Antara, Wednesday, August 27.

In written details, the results of the BPKP audit of Rp3.2 billion loss emerged from the rental of heavy equipment that had not been paid since the end of 2021.

"There are also losses that arise from two missing heavy equipment that are suspected of being pawned," he said.

Following up on the audit results, Regi said that investigators will soon conduct a case title to see the completeness of the evidence.

If it is deemed that at least two pieces of evidence have been found, investigators will determine the role of the suspect.

"For who is the name (the suspect), later after the title," he said.

In investigating this case, the police have conducted a series of witness examinations and collected documentary evidence and confiscated a heavy equipment unit in the form of excavators.

For witnesses who had undergone examination, it was the hall staff, the tenant named Efendi, the former Head of the Lombok Island Provincial Road Maintenance Office of the NTB PUPR Service, Ali Fikri, former Head of PUPR NTB Sahdan with the former PUPR treasurer.

In addition, investigators also investigated the alleged flow of rent into Ali Fikri through his wife's savings account. The search was strengthened by evidence of transfers from Efendi as the tenant.

Heavy equipment excavators were confiscated from the East Lombok Regency area. Now investigators are entrusting the confiscated items at the Lombok Island Provincial Road Maintenance Office in Ampenan, Mataram City.

In the heavy equipment rental agreement, the party signed is Ali Fikri as Head of the Lombok Island Provincial Road Maintenance Center for the NTB PUPR Service with Efendi, the tenant.
