Add 14 Transjakarta Buses Crossing TB Simatupang, Pramono Hopes Residents Don't Use Private Vehicles

DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said the DKI Provincial Government has added dozens of Transjakarta buses crossing Jalan TB Simatupang, South Jakarta.

Pramono hopes that the addition of this bus can accommodate passengers so as not to use private vehicles. Thus, the congestion that is now hitting the area can be more decomposed.

"We will add Transjakarta that passes through TB Simatupang, we will add 14 units to any area. What are the hopes? People using public transportation passing through TB Simatupang will increase," said Pramono in the Cakung area, East Jakarta, Monday, August 25.

There are 17 Transjakarta services that cross TB Simatupang. Among them are BRT services, namely Kor 8 (retute Lebak Bulus - Pasar Baru). Then, non-BRT D21 (UI - Lebak Bulus), D41 (Sawangan - Lebak Bulus via Desari toll road), 7A (Kampung Rambutan - Lebak Bulus), 7E (Kampung Rambutan - Ragunan), S21 (Ciputa - CSW), S22 (Ciputa - Kampung Rambutan), 6H (Senen - Lebak Bulus), and 1E (Pondok Labu - Blok M).

Then, Royaltrans S21 (Terminal BSD - Fatmawati), S14 (Summarecon Serpong - Lebak Bulus), S31 (Bintaro - Fatmawati). Furthermore, Microtrans JAK102 (Blok M - Lebak Bulus), JAK49 (Lebak Bulus - Cipulir), JAK95 (Terminal Lebak Bulus - Pasar Minggu Terminal), JAK93 (Jeruk Purut - Kebayoran Lama), and JAK 31 (Blok M - Andara).

Pramono revealed that the DKI Provincial Government is also trying to speed up work on Jalan TB Simatupang so that it can be completed more quickly.

Among them are the drinking water pipeline capacity project Perumda PAM Jaya, the Jakarta Sewerage Development Project (JSDP) work or the construction of a wastewater treatment plant carried out by Perumda Paljaya, as well as the integrated utility network (SJUT) excavation work by the Bina Marga Office.

"TB Simatupang is casutistic, it will not continue to be jammed, because there are projects there, the three projects. Thus the handling is until November," said Pramono.

Furthermore, Pramono clarified the plan to trim the sidewalk on Jalan TB Simatupang which was opposed by the Pedestrian Coalition. Pramono emphasized that the sidewalks that will be carried are actually not used by pedestrians as pedestrian paths.

"So, what the trotor means is a trotor that is not used, a trotor that is not being used because there is a project there. And that trotor also cannot be used for roads as pedestrians," said Pramono.

Moreover, according to Pramono, the pedestrian path on TB Simatupang Street is not fully cut. But only those in the excavation project area. This is done in order to increase the width of the road covered by the project area.

"Indeed, there are 3 projects built there. So, the trotors that can be used are not the total trotors, but only the current trotors are used for the project. Indeed, for road people, they can't actually be used," he added.
