KSPSI Admits Not Participating In The August 25 Action, Jumhur Hidayat: It's Not Clear Who Is In Charge

JAKARTA - On various social media platforms, quite a number of invitations to visit the DPR Building with calls for Action to Disband the DPR. This action activity is still unclear who or from which group is in charge.

Seeing this situation, several groups of civil society movements seem confused about this action plan. The figure of the civilian movement of Jumhur Hidayat who is known to be able to carry out large-scale actions also questioned Aguatus' action plan.

"Because it is not clear who is in charge and also what is the issue he is demanding, I prohibit all members or extended family of KSPSI throughout Indonesia, especially in the Jabodetabek area in the August 25 action", said Jumhur.

Jumhur also said that if there was no person in charge, the August 25 action was prone to anarchism so as to create a riot that led to an elite political battle.

"This means sacrificing the people for the benefit of elite politics. Therefore, KSPSI and also hopefully all civil society movements, especially elements of the friendly labor movement, will not take part in the action", said Jumhur.

Furthermore, Jumhur said that the Indonesian political system is more severe in executive power. So, if there is a need to demand policies, it is more appropriate to be directed at the Government. However, for now, the Government, especially President Prabowo, is currently struggling to bring justice and eradication of corruption.

"Various basic policies that are usually ordered by the black oligarchs during the Joko Widodo regime, are currently gradually being changed for the benefit of the people. Although many old groups are against it, we will just review the development from time to time before deciding to act", concluded Jumhur.
