Deputy Minister Of Foreign Affairs Strengthens Indonesian Diplomacy With Mongolia And Singapore In The Sidelines Of The FEALAC Foreign Minister's Meeting

JAKARTA - Indonesian Deputy Foreign Minister Arramanatha C. Nasir held a meeting with the Mongolian Foreign Minister and Senior Singaporean Minister on the sidelines of the "10th Forum for East Asia and Latin America Cooperation Foreign Ministers Meeting (10th FEALAC FMM)" in Ulaanabaatar.

Opening a meeting in the Mongolian Foreign Minister's office, Deputy Foreign Minister Arrmanatha expressed praise for Mongolia's success as host of "10th FEALAC FMM".

The Foreign Minister of Mongolia on this occasion emphasized that Indonesia is an important partner and hopes to increase cooperation between the two countries.

In turn, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tata conveyed the same thing by encouraging the improvement of the partnership between the two countries through the implementation of the MoU on Political Consultation which was signed during the visit of Foreign Minister Mongolia to Jakarta on May 21, 2025.

The two foreign ministers also discussed the possibility of reciprocal state visits in 2026. The visit of the President of the Republic of Indonesia to Mongolia or vice versa will be a historic achievement in bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as a momentum to commemorate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Mongelia.

Other discussion agendas include strengthening people-to-people connection and mutual support in multilateral forums.

After a meeting with Foreign Minister Mongolia Batmunkh, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tata held a bilateral meeting with Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs of the Republic of Singapore Sim Ann.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs highlighted the close relationship between Indonesia and Singapore which was reflected in the intensity of bilateral visits in the era of President Prabowo Subianto's leadership.

A concrete example is the latest visit by the President of the Republic of Indonesia in August 2025, by attending the Singapore National Day parade. Singapore appreciates the participation of the President of the Republic of Indonesia in this important momentum.

In the realm of multilateral cooperation, the two countries are committed to supporting each other in various international forums.

Singapore also praised Indonesia's aid initiative to Gaza and appreciation for the shift in positions of several countries that finally recognized Palestine.

Responding to this, Deputy Foreign Minister Arrmanatha emphasized Indonesia's dedication in helping the Palestinian people and tirelessly pushed for the negotiation process towards a two-state solution.

"In every initiative, Indonesia will always respect the approval and aspirations of the Palestinian people," said Deputy Foreign Minister Tata.
