Yenny Wahid Meets Pramono At City Hall, Asks For Permission To Use Thousand Islands For Environmental Preservation

JAKARTA - The daughter of the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia Abdurrahman Wahid, Yenny Wahid, visited the DKI Jakarta City Hall to meet the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung. The Wahid Foundation director asked permission to hold environmental conservation activities in the Thousand Islands.

"We want to work together to raise awareness of the environmental conservation program climate, then especially in coastal areas in DKI, on Pulau Seribu and so on," said Yenny at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Friday, August 22.

In this climate awareness activity, the Wahid Foundation will conduct awareness training on the need to maintain the environment, properly processing waste.

Then, there are women's empowerment activities, especially in coastal areas for environmental awareness, as well as the economy that ensures that waste management is correct.

"Then there is also a green economy, where women can benefit from the waste produced. That's what we are in a hurry," said Yenny.

According to Yenny, Jakarta is now becoming aware of environmental campaign activities. So, Yenny wants to continue the campaign to take root in the lower group.

So, it's right that we really want to move in that direction. This is to help mothers, especially in the community at the lowest level, so that they can have more awareness about climate change," he said.
