JAKARTA - Former DKI Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama admitted that he did not want the appointment as commissioners of regional-owned enterprises (BUMD) such as those close to the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, who recently received a seat of commissioner.

This was revealed by Ahok after meeting Pramono at the DKI Jakarta City Hall to discuss various Jakarta issues.

"I don't want to be a BUMD commissioner. I'm feeling good now, free man," said Ahok at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, August 20.

Moreover, the former President Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero) admitted that he had many activities after not being an official of a state-owned company. Ahok is now often invited to be a speaker for various activities.

"The time for me is also difficult. I have been a lot of traveling speakers. Sometimes I want to go abroad, where, if we are bound by one PT, it's a bit difficult," he said.

It is known that DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung overhauled the structure of the supervisory board and commissioners of regional-owned enterprises (BUMD) and appointed a number of close people.

Among them were former Chairman of the Pramono-Rano Winning Team in the 2024 Pilkada, Lies Hartono or Cak Lontong and former Governor of DKI Jakarta Sutiyoso as Commissioner of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol as of April 2025.

Then, in August 2025, Pramono also appointed the former 2016-2019 Presidential Spokesperson who is also a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2019-2024 period Johan Budi, Head of the State Civil Service Agency Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, and Head of the DKI Jakarta Youth Movement Regional Leadership (GP Ansor) Muhammad Ainul Yakin.

In addition, the chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD for the 2014-2024 period as well as the former Daily Chair of the Pramono-Rano Winning Team Prasetyo Edi Marsudi was appointed as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Perumda PAM Jaya, as well as former spokesman for Anies Baswedan, Sahrin Hamid who was appointed by Pramono as Commissioner of PT Jakarta Propertindo.

Then, Pramono appointed La Ode Basir to be a member of the Supervisory Board. La Ode Basir is one of the loyalists of the former Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan. La Ode is also the Coordinator of the Presidium of the DPP of the Prosperous Indonesia National Alliance (ANIES), Anies' volunteer base in the 2024 presidential election.
