Police officers arrested a motorcycle taxi driver with the initials F (43) who carried out the seizure and seized an online motorcycle taxi passenger at Pondok Ranji Station, South Tangerang (Tangsel).
"The perpetrator was successfully secured on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 14.00 WIB," said East Ciputat Police Chief Kompol Bambang Askar Sodiq as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, August 18.
The incident began on Saturday (16/8) at around 15.00 WIB, in front of Pondok Ranji Station, Jalan WR. Supratman, Pondok Ranji Village, East Ciputat District, South Tangerang City.
"The suspect with the initials F, an opang driver (the base motorcycle taxi), saw an ojol (ojekonline) who took a passenger with the initials KDR (32) in front of the motorcycle taxi base," explained Bambang.
Then, F immediately approached the ojol while cursing, and told ojol that he could only take passengers in front of a minimarket and a dealer.

The keys can be recaptured by the ojol and passengers are forced by the alleged perpetrator to use the base motorcycle taxi to their destination.
"Then for the viral incident on social media (social media), members of the East Ciputat Police Opsnal Reskrim immediately moved to the TKP to conduct an investigation and secure the alleged perpetrator," said Bambang.
