The Proclamation Museum Revives The Spirit Of Independence Through Tipak Tilas And The Shenk Ndepan Exhibition

JAKARTA - The formulation of the proclamation manuscript on August 16, 1945, has been revived through a series of Proclamation Months at the Proclamation Script Museum. This momentum is a reminder of how the founding fathers of the nation formulate text that changes Indonesian history.

Activities are opened with Tipak Tilas Proclamation. Hundreds of high school students throughout Jakarta walk from the Joang 45 Museum to the Proclamation Monument, crossing the historic point that has been passed by national figures. Many young people are fighting for independence. From this house, the text of the proclamation was born," said Culture Minister Fadli Zon when releasing participants, Saturday, August 16.

Menbud Fadli emphasized that the 80th anniversary of independence is not just nostalgia. He left a message to the younger generation to imitate the fighters. "In 2045, these fellow participants will lead the nation," he said.

Tipak Tilas was also enlivened by the public with the appearance of the Elderly Angklung Posyandu, Kerontjong Toegoe, to the Ayodya Pala Studio. Symbolically, the red and white flag was handed over by the Minister of Education and Culture to Paskibraka before the parade began.

In addition to the march, the Proclamation Month presents a temporary exhibition with the theme Tokoh Henk Non-Tandung, Art and Diplomacy in Historic Homes. Henk, painter and Governor of DKI Jakarta for the period 19641965, is remembered as an artistic and diplomatic figure in the early era of the republic.

"Henk's painting is not only works of art, but also historical testimony. He teaches integrity, national identity, and mutual cooperation," said Menbud Fadli. The exhibition was opened through Rampak Gendang who was beaten together with representatives of the Henk Ntung family and national figures.

The end of the event reiterated an important message. Culture must be a space for dialogue between nations, identity glue, and driving social change. "Through this activity, people are invited to remember the struggle while maintaining the spirit of nationality," said Menbud Fadli.
