Menbud Fadli Zon Affirms Cultural Values To Be A Foundation Of Indonesia Can Remain Strong

JAKARTA - The national development must not be separated from cultural preservation. The noble value of the nation is the foundation that makes Indonesia strong. He conveyed the firm statement of the Minister of Culture Fadli Zon after attending the state speech of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, in the Annual Session of the MPR RI and the Joint Session of the DPR RI and DPD RI at the DPR RI Building.

In his speech, President Prabowo explained the strategic achievement of 299 working days of the Red and White Cabinet, ranging from food, education, health, to national investment. Menbud Fadli Zon highlighted the government's commitment to preserving culture as well as improving people's welfare.

He emphasized that Indonesia's cool democracy and uniting are the keys to the success of development.

"Family culture and mutual cooperation are the foundations of our democracy. This is a way to maintain national unity," said the Minister of Culture in a written statement quoted on Saturday, August 16.

The Minister of Culture also reminded the importance of the message of the founders of the nation such as Bung Karno, Bung Hatta, Bung Sjahrir, and Haji Agus Salim. Their thinking, said Fadli, remains relevant to answer the challenges of the 21st century.

President Prabowo emphasized that the 1945 Constitution is a design to build a country inherited by generation 45. That is a valuable legacy that we must protect," he added.

According to Fadli, the momentum of the 80th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence must be a starting point for strengthening nationalism, cool democracy, and a culture of mutual cooperation.

"With consistency in carrying out the ideals of independence, Indonesia will be able to face global challenges while at the same time realizing a sovereign, just and prosperous society," he said.

He closed with an invitation for all people to take an active role in the success of the government's priority program under President Prabowo Subianto while maintaining national integrity.
