Taiwan Cancels 60 Flights Due To Topan Terjangan Yangliu

JAKARTA - Taiwan's Taoyuan Airport canceled more than 60 passenger and cargo flights due to Topan Yangliu that hit the island.

Central News Agency (CNA) reported, Wednesday, August 13, another 26 flights were reportedly diverted to another airport.

Taoyuan Airport is the largest and busiest international airport on the island.

The Paper newspaper, reported by ANTARA from Sputnik, reported passenger ship traffic and all maritime activity had been temporarily suspended in southeastern China's Fujian Province as the typhoon began to approach.

A total of 39 passenger ferry routes and 141 coastal passenger ferries were temporarily suspended due to the typhoon, China's Maritime Safety Administration reported in Fujian quoted by the newspaper.
