21 Cannons Accompany Prabowo To Welcome Peruvian President At The Palace

JAKARTA - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto welcomed the arrival of Peru President Dina Ercilia Bouarte Zegarra at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta, Monday, August 11, to attend a bilateral meeting to discuss the cooperation between the two countries.

The welcoming ceremony starts from the Monas Cross area, Central Jakarta, where the vehicle carrying President Boluarte was greeted by equestrians (kavaleri) and escorted to enter the Merdeka Palace area, Jakarta.

In addition to the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, President Prabowo Subianto, who was dressed in a light blue shirt wrapped in a black coat andoscopic, welcomed Boluarte's arrival and shook hands.

Furthermore, the two Heads of State headed to the Merdeka Palace terrace to witness the appearance of the Honorary Jajar Troops and the cannon boom 21 times as a sign of state honor for state guests from among the heads of state.

Quoted by ANTARA, President Bouarte's arrival at around 10.07 WIB was also welcomed by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Minister of Trade Budi Santoso, Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Foreign Affairs Megeri Sugiono, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi.

Meanwhile, the President of Peru was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmer Schialer Salcedo, Minister of Economy and Finance Rawasl Prerez-Reyes Espejo, Minister of Agrarian Development and Irrigation Amnero Campo, Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism. Desil

The series of events continued with the screening of the national anthems of the two countries and the introduction of their respective delegates.

After the welcoming procession, President Prabowo and President Bouarte headed to the Merdeka Palace Kredential Room for a joint photo session and the signing of the guest book.

Furthermore, President Prabowo invited President Bouarte to enter his office to carry out a closed bilateral meeting agenda.

According to a statement from the Presidential Secretariat, the results of the discussion of the meeting will be delivered through a joint statement after the two heads of state ate lunch.

It is known that President Prabowo had invited Bouarte to visit Indonesia. He conveyed the invitation when he visited Peru, mid-November 2024.

The two countries are committed to finalizing the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) in the next six months. The Head of State is optimistic that the agreement can be signed on a visit from Bouarte to Indonesia with his delegation.
