Coordinating Minister For Human Development And Culture Cak Imin Will Build Migrant Center In Malang, Experts To Investors Will Be Involved

The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Muhaimin Iskandar, plans to build a migrant center in Malang (doc. Special).

Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment (Menko PM), Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin, will build a migrant center in Malang, East Java. Collaboration with various parties will be carried out.

This was conveyed by Cak Imin while attending the Global Talent Day event in Malang, East Java, on Saturday, August 9, 2025. He wants Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) to have maximum opportunities and protection.

"From various resources in Jakarta, we make migrant centers. Starting from the research, empowerment, we involve campuses, we involve companies, we involve experts, we involve investors," said Cak Imin as quoted from a written statement, Saturday, August 9, 2025.

This migrant center, continued Cak Imin, must be built immediately. The problem is, the number of Indonesian workers working abroad is quite high.

In addition, he wants the construction of this migrant center to be able to integrate the world of education with the needs of the community, including PMI.

"Involving universities, starting from policy advocacy to assistance and empowerment after PMI. I'm sure I can."

Global Talent Day is an effort by the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture to create Indonesian workers who can compete globally.
