PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) added six specialASH high-speed train travel schedules on Sunday (10/8) to accommodate the spike in weekend passengers.
KCIC General Manager Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa said the additional schedule was carried out in line with the adjustment of the facility maintenance schedule and infrastructure, enabling the operation of more trips a day.
"By operating 62 travel schedules, up 11 percent from the usual number of 56 trips on Sundays," Eva said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 8.
Eva emphasized that the addition of the schedule was carried out without sacrificing aspects of safety or quality of maintenance.
"We see a trend of increasing mobility at the weekend, so the addition of this schedule is expected to provide extra comfort for service users of telephone services," he said.
