JAKARTA - The government has designated Monday, August 18 as a national joint leave in order to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.
This determination is stated in the Joint Decree (SKB) of the Three Ministers signed by the Minister of Religion, the Minister of Manpower, and the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform.
This decree is an amendment to the previous SKB, namely Number 1017 of 2024, Number 2 of 2024, and Number 2 of 2024, concerning National Holidays and Joint Leave in 2025. This change officially stipulates additional collective leave on August 18, 2025, the day after the commemoration of Indonesian Independence Day.
The determination meeting was held at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, chaired by the Deputy for Strengthening National Characters and Self-Defense, Warsito and the Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Imam Machdi, attended by the Secretary of the Ministry of State Secretariat Setya Utama and representatives from the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform, Ministry of Manpower, Ministry of Religion, Ministry of Basic and Preventing Education.
Through the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Pratikno, then the SKB was signed by three ministers, namely
Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar, Minister of Manpower Yassierli, and Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Rini Widyantini.
