Groundbreaking Connecting 3 Parks In Blok M Starts Friday

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta City Parks and Forest Service, Fajar Sauri, said that the DKI Provincial Government will start a groundbreaking for the arrangement and connection of three parks in the Blok M area the day after tomorrow, Friday, August 8.

The groundbreaking of the Langsat Park, Ayodya Park, and Leuser Park in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta will be inaugurated by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung.

"God willing, on Friday the Governor will groundbreaking," Fajar told reporters, Wednesday, August 6.

Before the arrangement of the Park began, the DKI Provincial Government wanted to move the Barito Animal Market traders. However, a polemic emerged where some of the market traders located in front of Langsat Park refused to be relocated.

Fajar hopes that all traders are pleased to be transferred to temporary locations or stalls in the desired market so that the arrangement of the three parks can run on schedule.

"We also act that there are rules. So, maybe traders should be given a good explanation," said Fajar.

The plan is that the three parks connected will be named Pusaka Flag Park. In this arrangement, the DKI Provincial Government will build connecting access in the form of a bridge between Langsat Park and Ayodya Park.

Meanwhile, the connection between Langsat Park and Leuser Park will be built by pedestrian underpasses, considering that there are roads that separate the two parks.

"So, we connect the Langsat Park with Ayodya Park with a bridge link. On Langsat we make a jogging track. Then to combine Langsat and Leuser there is a bridge that goes down under the road so that it can penetrate," said Fajar.
