The West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) has begun investigating the case of mixed Pertalite fuel with diesel at 34,116,12 gas stations located on Jalan Kembang Kerep, Kembangan, West Jakarta. Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Arfan Zulkan Sipayung, stated that his party had summoned the management of the gas station to undergo examination and be questioned through the Investigation Report (BAP).
"We summoned them today for the BAP. More than three witnesses were examined, including the manager, supervisor, and officers who were at the scene at the time of the incident," said AKBP Arfan when confirmed, Tuesday (5/8/2025).
The inspection began at 10.00 WIB and was still ongoing until noon. Until 12.08 WIB, the management of the gas station has not provided an official statement to the media because they are still undergoing investigations at the police.
Arfan added, if an element of negligence is found in the investigation, then this case can be subject to legal sanctions based on Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection.
Meanwhile, the operation of the 34,116,12 gas station was temporarily closed. Many motorists were forced to turn around after finding out that gas stations were not operating.
Previously, the gas station manager,vistors Sitorus, admitted that this incident was caused by a technical error in the tank charging process.
